Publication Date: October 1st, 2019

Blurb:
What would cause a woman to brutally murder a man she loves?
January hits the big time when she marries millionaire Warren Vanderhorn. With looks, money, and charisma, he's the ideal GQ cover guy.
When he ends up murdered, all signs point to her as the perpetrator. As she uncovers some of Warren's long-hidden secrets, suspects start popping out of the woodwork, and her own history with violence starts making her question herself. People she thinks she knows—and trusts—turn out to be liars who keep things from her. Everyone around her suddenly has a reason to want Warren dead, but she's the only one who was there that night.
Now, she's questioning everything, even her own sanity, as her life unravels.
Jo Michaels loves writing novels that make readers gasp in horror, surprise, and disbelief. While her browser search history has probably landed her on a list somewhere, she still dives into every plot with gusto, hoping "the man" will realize she's a writer and not a psychopath about to go on a rampage. Her favorite pastimes are reading, watching Investigation Discovery, and helping other authors realize their true potential through mentoring. She's penned the award-winning Pen Pals and Serial Killers series and the best-selling educational book for children, Writing Prompts for Kids, which has rocketed the kids that use it into several awards of their own.
Most of Jo's books feature the places she's lived: Louisiana, Tennessee, and Georgia. That's given her a special amount of insight to what makes those locations tick. Her works are immersive and twisty, and she wouldn't want it any other way.

*Book Tour & Giveaway* Anguish Unfolds by AE Faulkner

Anguish Unfolds
Nature's Fury 1.5
by AE Faulkner
Genre: YA Dystopian

With the life she knew all but gone, Riley must decide if she’ll let the road ahead break her spirit or bolster her drive.
When her sister’s safety is threatened, Riley discovers just how far she will go to protect Quinn. No matter the toll – emotionally and physically. With little faith in returning to the only family she has left, Riley follows the path that she believes is her only choice. Relying on others to lead the way, she is forced to face some of her deepest fears.

NOTE: You must have read Darkness Falls in order to understand Anguish Unfolds. Although I recommend you read Anguish Unfolds before diving into book 2 in the series (Chaos Ensues, coming in 2020), it is not necessary.

Darkness Falls
Nature's Fury #1

As nature tires of human destruction, two sisters must face a changing environment that stands between them and survival.

When Quinn and Riley set out on a family vacation with their parents, the trip ends before it begins. Mother Nature interferes with their plans, setting off a sequence of events that thrusts the teens into a hostile landscape.

Stranded, with limited supplies, struggling to figure out who they can trust along the way, they must determine how to survive nature's evolving fury.

AE Faulkner is a young adult dystopian author. Her debut novel, Darkness Falls, is the first book in the Nature's Fury series, which explores the Earth’s response to humans poisoning her streams, abusing her animals and destroying her beauty.

She has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Millersville University and a master’s degree in advertising, public relations & journalism from Temple University.

Although she escaped in books as a child, college textbooks sucked the fun out of reading. Years later, The Hunger Games trilogy became the spark that rekindled her love of books. After devouring that series, she quickly became captivated by dystopian novels.

After several years of reading them, she decided to take a stab at writing one that combined her love for nature with her fear of human destruction

CassaStar
CassaStar Series Book 1

To pilot the fleet’s finest ship...

Few options remain for Byron. A talented but stubborn young man with a troubled past and rebellious attitude, his cockpit skills are his only hope. Slated to train as a Cosbolt fighter pilot, Byron is determined to prove his worth and begin a new life as he sets off for the moon base of Guaard.

Much to Byron’s chagrin the toughest instructor in the fleet takes notice of the young pilot. Haunted by a past tragedy, Bassa eventually sees through Byron's tough exterior and insolence. When a secret talent is revealed during training, Bassa feels compelled to help Byron achieve his full potential.

As war brews on the edge of space, time is running short. Byron requires a navigator of exceptional quality to survive, and Bassa must make a decision that could well decide the fate of both men. Will their skills be enough as they embark on a mission that may stretch their abilities to the limit?

“...calls to mind the youthful focus of Robert Heinlein’s early military sf, as well as the excitement of space opera epitomized by the many Star Wars novels. Fast-paced military action and a youthful protagonist make this a good choice for both young adult and adult fans of space wars.” - Library Journal

CassaFire
CassaStar Series Book 2

From the Amazon best-selling author - CassaStar was just the beginning...

The Vindicarn War is a distant memory and Byron’s days of piloting Cosbolt fighters are over. He has kept the promise he made to his fallen mentor and friend - to probe space on an exploration vessel. Shuttle work is dull, but it’s a free and solitary existence. The senior officer is content with his life aboard the Rennather.

The detection of alien ruins sends the exploration ship to the distant planet of Tgren. If their scientists can decipher the language, they can unlock the secrets of this device. Is it a key to the Tgren’s civilization or a weapon of unimaginable power? Tensions mount as their new allies are suspicious of the Cassan’s technology and strange mental abilities.

To complicate matters, the Tgrens are showing signs of mental powers themselves; the strongest of which belongs to a pilot named Athee, a woman whose skills rival Byron’s unique abilities. Forced to train her mind and further develop her flying aptitude, he finds his patience strained. Add a reluctant friendship with a young scientist, and he feels invaded on every level. All Byron wanted was his privacy...

CassaStorm
CassaStar Series Book 3

A storm gathers across the galaxy...

Commanding the Cassan base on Tgren, Byron thought he’d put the days of battle behind him. As a galaxy-wide war encroaches upon the desert planet, Byron’s ideal life is threatened and he’s caught between the Tgrens and the Cassans.

After enemy ships attack the desert planet, Byron discovers another battle within his own family. The declaration of war between all ten races triggers nightmares in his son, threatening to destroy the boy’s mind.

Meanwhile the ancient alien ship is transmitting a code that might signal the end of all life in the galaxy. And the mysterious probe that almost destroyed Tgren twenty years ago could return. As his world begins to crumble, Byron suspects a connection. The storm is about to break, and Byron is caught in the middle...

With a talent for worldbuilding and a compelling cast of characters, Alex J. Cavanaugh combines high powered space battles and the challenges of family dynamics to provide readers a space opera with heart.” - Elizabeth S. Craig, author of the Southern Quilting and Myrtle Clover mysteries

GUEST POST
Music That Inspired the Series
Everyone wants to know the inspiration behind a book series. Music played such an integral part in my writing that I’d like to share what inspired the stories.
The first version of CassaStar was written when I was a teen. While I don’t remember a specific song, I do remember being into Electric Light Orchestra in the 70’s, so that probably influenced it. When I rewrote the story thirty years later, Stream of Passion’s version of Street Spirit fueled a very challenging and emotional scene for the main character, Byron. Guilt Machine’s album also played a part in the first book.
CassaFire didn’t have specific music, although it continued along with Ayreon inspired works. (Guilt Machine was an Ayreon project and Stream of Passion founded by Ayreon to showcase the lead singer.)
CassaStorm came about right after the release of Tron: Legacy. I usually don’t listen to a lot of soundtrack albums, but we picked up Legacy and several songs struck home. The fourth, Recognizer, became the anthem for Byron’s son, Bassan. It fueled the entire story, resulting in a fitting end of the series and the book I am most proud of.
My musical inspiration continued with my next book, Dragon of the Stars. It was based on my interpretation of Ayreon’s Dragon on the Sea, the tale of Queen Elizabeth sending Sir Francis Drake to defend England, and I took every line into my story of another dragon.

What music inspires you?

Cover Designer: Melissa Stevens/ The Illustrated Author Design Services
Publication Date: November 1st, 2019
Hosted by: Lady Amber’s PR
Blurb:  One Prince. One Witch. One Fate.
The upheaval in my life began the moment a prince stumbled into my house and asked me to read his fortune. Any other night, I might have made an excuse to get him to leave, but this was no normal visit. My fingers prickled to touch him. So, I granted his request by handing him a single wishbone. When he snapped it, the wish … bled.
Hearing me suck in a shocked breath, he asked what it meant. Such an ominous omen could only mean one thing: his death was imminent. Fate revealed that he wouldn’t die of natural causes. Someone wanted him dead. Stunned by the revelation, the man I now knew as Prince Tauren disappeared into a night I feared he wouldn’t survive. The following day, I received an invitation to the castle. While it seemed the prince believed I could intervene and uncover who was plotting his death, his motives didn’t stop there. I was being summoned to join twelve other women in vying for the opportunity to be his wife and future queen.
Going could mean jeopardizing my plans to reclaim my heritage and resurrect the House of Fate. But staying would guarantee Tauren’s death, and the blood of his wish would be on my hands.
