GUEST POST
-Top 10 favorite books and/or authors? Do you read yourself and if
so, what is your favorite genre?

These two
questions are hard to answer when you’re an avid reader of multiple
genres. Add in new authors publishing every day. It’s a struggle
to stay on top of all the books.
When I discover an author, I tend to read everything in their
booklist. In the past, before e-books became so popular. I’d walk
around the library until I found a shelf with multiple books by an
author. It’s how I found C. J. Box’s, Joe Pickett series.
John Sandford’s,
Prey and Virgil Flowers Series are books I can pick up and read over
and over. The characters and content are well written. The same with
J. D. Robb’s, Death Series. To watch the growth of their main
character’s in these two series and keep producing interesting book
after book. Just wow!
Lee Child’s,
Reacher Series, is always an intense adventure. Add Nick Petri’s,
new Peter Ash, books. Greg Hurwitz’s, Orphan X, what an imagination
that man has! Let’s tuck in J. T. Ellison (an all time favorite)
and Lisa Unger, but I’m past my ten favorites and must stop…Wait,
how about Harlan Coben and David Baldacci?
Oh, and I love J.
R. Ward’s, Black Dagger Brotherhood, Faith Hunter’s, Jane
Yellowrock, and Patricia Briggs’, Mercy Thompson.
And for relief
from the tension there’s always Robyn Carr’s Virgin River Series,
with the ever-growing community in the mountains.
So many books and
never enough time to read them all. Must fit in time to work on my
own writing! But no matter how fast I read - that ‘to be read pile’
seems to grow overnight….
