Out of nowhere, I ask my friend, “Danny, do you believe that two people are meant to meet? Like their destiny is written in the stars and all that mushy crap?”
“Mushy crap? Wow, so poetic there, B. But yes, I do.” He pauses and looks at me before adding, “And yes I do think that you skipping out on Hottie McHotterson was a mistake, but because I believe in fate and all that mushy crap, I believe you and he will meet again.”
“You think?” I ask.
He nods his head. “Yep, and you know why?” He doesn’t give me a chance to answer. “Because you, Bryce Dalton, never take risks like you did with him and because you took said risk, the universe is now on your side and you will meet him again.” He walks over to me and grips my shoulders. “And if you skip out on him again, I will kick your ass to Alaska and back. Capeesh?”
With a smile, I nod my head. “Capeesh, and I hope you are right, because I’m kicking myself for being such a moron that weekend.”
“You’re not a moron, babe. You are Bryce-fucking-Dalton, owner of Blushing Buds AND second best florist in Vancouver. You will get your second chance, and this time you won’t sneak out, you’ll ride him like a cowgirl—” I smack him in the arm to shut him up.
“Okay, okay, I get it and I hope you are right…”
“I knew you’d like to be on top.” He winks at me.
“Oh, stop, you fiend. Now pass me the hydrangeas and ranunculus so I can finish this bouquet.”

*Book Tour & Giveaway* Emily Knight Series by Emily Knight-GUEST POST

Emily Knight I Am....
Emily Knight Series Book 1
by A. Bello
Genre: YA, MG Fantasy

Emily Knight I AM... is about a thirteen year old warrior named Emily, who is far from ordinary and she hates it! The daughter of a heroic warrior and the press favourite problem child. Against her wishes she is sent to the Osaki Training School to control her powers. She learns to fly, breathe under water and battle but someone has their eyes set on Emily and now she has to chose between the two people she loves.

Emily Knight I AM... has elements of grittiness that is more mature than other fantasy books. As well as being laugh out loud funny, the characters are real, complicated and relatable. A. Bello pushes the boundaries by breaking the conventions in this diverse, absorbing novel.

Emily Knight I Am...Awakened
Emily Knight Series Book 2

Dark times are upon us. Neci is back and she is more dangerous than ever. The warriors are forced to pick a side and to stand up for what they believe in. The race is on to find the missing warrior first. It's the only way to prevent a war from happening and to stop Neci from destroying everything. Emily Knight has to get sharper, stronger and faster because Neci has made her a target and someone is going to great lengths to hurt her. Can Emily win the race? Or will Neci take her down once and for all?

**Nominated for the 2019 Carnegie Medal!**
**Finalist for London's Big Read 2019!**

A. Bello is a young author from North London and the author of the Emily Knight series (Emily Knight I am... & Emily Knight I am...Awakened)

She wrote her first novel at aged 8, where she fought monsters and dragons daily and was first published at aged 12 for a poem she wrote in school.

A. Bello wrote the first in the Emily Knight saga at aged 12, with the intention of filling in a gaping hole in children's fiction for an inspirational, strong, black female protagonist (who can fight like a man!)

A. Bello has received rave reviews for her debut book as well as success with her Emily Knight Warriors pop-up book. She is the founder of The Lil' Author School and co-founder of The Author School. The Author School was shortlisted for The Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2016.

A. Bello has appeared in Female First Magazine, The Mirror, BBC1XTRA to name a few.

GUEST POST
What inspired you to write this book?
As a a kid and a teenager, there wasn't any books for my age group that had a strong female character. If they were a main character, they were very dependent on men. There definitely wasn't any characters of girls that looked like me!
I also grew up watching DragonBall Z, X-Men and WWE and I just wanted to read what I liked to watch. I'm obsessed with powers and the idea of being more than what meets the eye.

What can we expect from you in the future?
More books for young people that show strong diverse characters

Do you have any side storiesabout the characters?
I usually do a pop up blog every August and it's a side story featuring one of the characters from the Emily Knight books. I've done 4 so far and they always seem to go down well. It also pushed me to think of the back story of the character in more depth but it all depends if I have a book out that year. Sometimes I don't have time to write one.

Can you tell us a little bit about the characters in Emily Knight I am...Awakened?
Emily Knight is a powerful teenage warrior who has lived with her godparents since she was a child. She is the youngest child of the legendary Knight family and her father is the strongest and most famous warrior in the world. Emily is rich and privileged but she can't control her strong powers. In the second book I am...Awakened, there's a threat of war and you really see her become more of a leader despite how scared she is to battle in this potential war.

How did you come up with the concept and characters for the book?
The main thing I wanted to show was a young girl that can fight even better than the boys and a black girl that wasn't from the ghetto, in a gang etc but she actually lives in luxury. I didn't want the book to be about race or hair. Emily has normal teenage issues and she just happens to be black.

What did you enjoy most about writing this book?
I really enjoy writing the dynamics of the friendships between Emily Knight, Michella Kinkle, Wesley Parker and Jason Notting. They fight and throw shade at each other but they still love each other so much and push each other to be great.

How did you come up with the title of your first novel?
I wanted my characters name in the title because it's centred around her and I liked the I am... concept because I wanted to reader to figure out who Emily is. Plus the first book is really about the character learning and accepting who she is

Who designed your book covers?
The first edition of Emily Knight I am was designed by Giles Greenfield. He actually did Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, first edition cover. The second edition of I am and Emily Knight I am...Awakened was designed by the power team of Alexandra Artigas and Jem Butcher.

Did you learn anything during the writing of your recent book?
My latest book is my first YA commercial fiction book and I found it so hard! I didn't expect it to be so challenging. I guess I'm a fantasy girl at heart. I wrote the story about eight times because I couldn't decide on what perspective to write from. I finally got it together

If your book was made into a film, who would you like to play the lead?
My book is set in England and it's very diverse. There's not much diversity in film over here so I couldn't think who would play Emily but I would love John Boyega to play Emily's rebellious brother, Lox and Idris Elba to play the legendary Thomas Knight.

Anything specific you want to tell your readers?
Emily Knight I am...Awakened is nominated for the Carnegie Medal 2019 and is shortlisted for London's Big Read 2019. Yay!

What is your favorite part of this book and why?
My favourite part is any scene where Emily and her brother Lox interact. Just their back and forth as siblings is fun to write and all the battle scenes, where I can throw in some crazy punches and fireballs.

If you could spend time with a character from your book whom would it be? And what would you do during that day?
Ooh this is a good one. If I could spend time with any character, I think it would be Lox Knight. I would get him to show me Legend's Village, where he grew up and all the spots he went to when he ran away.

Convince us why you feel your book is a must read.
The Emily Knight I am series is a must read because it has a bit of everything! Strong female characters, great friendships, kids that can kick some serious butt, diversity and inclusion, vivid battles and also real challenges in life - relationships, not feeling good enough, being brave when you don't want to be. Everyone will be able to see themselves in this series.

Have you written any other books that are not published?

My latest book Beats, Love and high top trainers is currently with my agent under submission. We've had great interest so fingers crossed!

*Book Tour & Giveaway* General's Daughter Series by Breanna Hayse-GUEST POST

The Siren
General's Daughter Book 1
by Breanna Hayse
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Lt. Samantha Quimby, USMC is a beautiful, brilliant and very unique young woman. Not only does she have the privilege of being the youngest known Special Ops officer in the Corps, but an unfortunate accident during a dive in the Marinas Trench leaves her permanently amphibious! Her new found ocean freedom, combined with her unique ability with ocean mammals and an overtly defiant and somewhat reckless nature, wreaks havoc on her very loving, but very strict family. Her father and uncle, both USMC Generals., and her older brother, Michael, are in constant pursuit of trying to keep her safe from herself and her own curiosity and often thoughtless actions. In desperation, the three resort to old-fashioned military discipline.

Sam is appalled, but it does not take long for her to discover that love can be expressed in a firm and consistent manner upon her little bottom. Love, laughter, duty, and obedience frames the young woman's life and, despite a constant sore backside, she couldn’t be happier.

Publisher's Note: This is the first of a six book progressive series from coming of age in a DD household to discovering romance and advancing into maturity and exploring BDSM. The rerelease of the Generals' Daughter series contains new elements and the growth and maturing of the characters not seen in the original version. This larger volume of the 'story' line is the same, but the characters and their lives have whole new meaning and much more interaction. Even Ton is more opinionated than before! If you liked the original version, you will LOVE this one!

Up a Notch
General's Daughter Book 2

BIGGER, BETTER, and with MORE ATTITUDE!

The General's Daughter is back, and she's at it again! True to her nature, Samantha Quimby finds a way to wreak havoc on the California coastline clear up to Alaska where she defies nature itself. This time, her entire family decides to bring things "Up A Notch" to try to get her to understand that she is not only loved and cared for, but that she is her own worst enemy.

This sequel to The Siren, Generals' Daughter Book 1, finds Sam in more precarious situations than even she can imagine as she comes of age and discovers her own power as a beautiful and intelligent young woman.

Her father, uncle and brother.... along with some outside help... plan on getting their points across to her in one way or another. Of course, Sammi's stubbornness can only be broken through in one embarrassing way... old fashioned discipline.

Does this stop her from pulling endless pranks on her brother, or risking her own safety in the 'name of science?' But she certainly has fun trying... UNTIL she’s busted!

Caught in a Net
General's Daughter Book 3

Sam’s at it again! USMC lieutenant, Samantha Quimby, is beautiful, brilliant and ‘an independent thinker’ whose biggest delight is challenging the strict rules and regulations set by her commanding general father and uncle. Even more enjoyable is when she can slip past her big brother Michael’s watchful eye and follow her own path. As intelligent as she is, Sam’s need to pursue her own interests without considering the consequences subjects her frustrated family to trying every avenue of discipline they can think of. They conclude that nothing grabs the girl’s attention like attending to some old fashioned military discipline and an awful lot of love. But keeping her attention is another issue....

Her unique abilities and physical alterations after a life-threatening accident have also led her to ‘translate’ the cetacean code, which the image of being ‘caught in a net’ simply means... Trouble! After she and Michael complete a particularly dangerous Special Ops mission, Sam faces the most difficult challenge yet.
Love.
Lt. Richard Lewis, a handsome engineer who seems to display the best characteristics of the men in her beloved family... And the worse! It doesn’t take long for Sam to discover that the serious minded young man is determined to keep her safe, and that he won’t hesitate to impart his firm beliefs directly to her rebellious bare bottom!

Instead of coming to her rescue, he family approves highly of the new addition to the crew and the methods he uses to ensure good behavior from their naughty, little Siren. As if it’s not tough enough for Sam, even her best friend and constant ocean companion, the killer whale- Ton- is now requesting that Richard joins the family in 'biting her tail flukes!'

Poor Sammi just can't get a break... not even when she discovers her power as a beautiful, young woman and how to use it to get her way with Richard. Little does she know, but her new boyfriend is both willing, and able, to turn the tide and catch his lovely little mermaid in a net of his own design.

Convergence
General's Daughter Book 4

Poor Sam! Not only does the brilliant, young lieutenant constantly find trouble every time she turns the corner, but now she faces a dilemma that leaves her in a quandary.

She’s face to face with a hot, dominant man who wants nothing more than to teach her what it feels like to be a woman, but he insists on honoring her family’s request to wait!
When Sam discovers she can ‘converge’ with Richard much in the way she integrates with the cetaceans- and that she can insert a few ‘suggestions’ into the young man’s mind- she can’t help but experiment.
The result? Just say there aren’t enough cold showers in the world to stop the affects associated with her new-found power, nor are there pillows soft enough to make sitting more comfortable for Sam each time she’s busted!
Meanwhile, Michael’s romance with Teagan is quickly blossoming. He thinks she might even be the one- particularly when she admits to desiring a D&S relationship. Despite Sam’s warnings that fantasy is always better than reality, Teagan begins to test her boundaries with her strong alpha male boyfriend, and finds herself in a position that is NOT what she expected.

Under Cover
General's Daughter Book 5

What's Sam up to this time?

For once, believe it or not, the trouble she's getting into isn't her fault!

After losing her temper and physically flattening a jerk on base for sexual misconduct, USMC Lt. Samantha Quimby is approached by the lovely Col. Joyce Howe under the pretense of an SJA inquiry. Instead of punishment, Sam’s ordered on a secret assignment to investigate a dangerous situation in a local high school where several military dependents attend. No problem, right? WRONG.
Except for her father and uncle, everyone believes she’s placed on administrative leave and is allegedly sent 'back to school' to learn how to socialize with people closer to her age. It wouldn't be so bad if her folks were home to fish her out of trouble, but they're called cross-country to a mandatory meeting. That means her brother, Michael, and her boyfriend, Richard, are left in charge.
Behaving like a high schooler is not in her blood- nor can she keep her mouth shut in class. From rolling her eyes in Calculus to reading Tolstoy in Russian, the girl keeps paving her way for more trouble when the frustrated principal calls Michael to pick her up. Now, the boys can deal with Sam’s saucy attitude, but they can't overlook her sneaking out of the house, stealing her uncle's Hummer, or lying to them. Yep, she’s busted- but she’s under orders NOT to tell anyone about her mission!
If all this isn't enough to contend with, Sam's relationship with Richard has reached the place where neither of them can’t deny their need for one another. Promise, or no promise, Richard’s determined to make Sam his- and she's not about to stop him!

BDSM/AP lifestyler Breanna Hayse strives to give her readers truth and reality of the BDSM/Age-Play/Total Power and Erotic Exchange lifestyle.

Who am I?
I'm a native Californian gone 'wild', and had the opportunity to travel the globe and discover the world through the eyes of both a Marine Intelligence specialist and a BDSM lifestyler. I left the service to go into hospice nursing and grief counseling, eventually working as a marriage and family therapist for those involved in alternative lifestyle development. This experience has allowed me to gain unique inspiration for my books and offer realistic plots and relatable characters.

In 2004, my husband, John, and I joined forces to work with both submissives and dominants- teaching, training, listening and loving. Our goal was to take the mystery and fear out of the lifestyle and mentor people in safe, consensual and healthy relationships.

My first book, The Game Plan, was published in 2012 and opened the door to the now-booming world of Age-Play literature. Since that time, I've devoted my 'spare' time to writing, researching, community involvement, and private and group pro bono counseling in deviant behavior, alternative lifestyle, and addiction recovery.

I was formally 'dungeon trained' as a Domme before discovering my submissive side when I joined the service. My scenarios are pulled primarily from either personal experience or observation, including spending time in BDSM clubs as the safety/medical officer. My multi-faceted background allows me to glean from many avenues and give a unique and intelligent literary experience through elements of fantasy and fiction. I also discuss the questions and psychology of the lifestyle in a manner that is fun and informative, and based on 'the real deal.'

I live with my husband, musician, and fellow-author, John Hayse, and two border collies in southern California. We practice a 24/7 D&S relationship with speckles of AP (and many trips to Build-A-Bear), and happily spend every moment together that we can. My hobbies include my puppies, hiding my vanilla salt-water taffy where John can't find it, exotic art, collecting inspirational trinkets, and developing my own paddle line. You can also see me as a featured author/instructor in professional conference settings and as a Sexpert for kinkyliterature.com.

GUEST POST
How much have you grown as a writer from your first publication in 2012 to now? Any tips for aspiring writers?
OMG! I look back at all the things I’ve gone through and learned over the past 7 years and 71 books later, and shake my head with disbelief. I never would have dreamed that anything I wrote would hit the best-seller list, let every one of my books have- and a large portion even went to #1! That is humbling in itself because those achievements are due to my readers, and I humbling and gratefully thank them for their faithfulness, loyalty, and support.
They’ve also challenged me to grow. My writing style has developed to be more emotional and the readers are so invested in the characters now that they holler at me as though the heroes/heroines are real people (although, in my mind and heart, they are!).
My tips?
* First- write for yourself. If you aren’t madly in love and emotionally invested in your work, your readers won’t be either.
* Second- believe in yourself and your art. You don’t need to hook up with a shady group of people who promise you the moon in return for undeserved loyalty or sacrificing your integrity.
* Third- be wise when you publish. There are a lot of sketchy publishers/cliques in this industry- so ask around before you get roped in. Believe you can make it without the necessity of a publisher’s cut- especially if it’s a little, mediocre or unethical publisher. Find supportive, kind, and knowledgeable individuals who will help you without strings attached- that includes going over your contracts. Believe me- I learned the hard way on this one! That’s why I make myself available to host promos on my blog and add books to my newsletter.
* Fourth- be honest with yourself and your readers. Once you think you know everything, you’ll see how little you do know. Penname aside, if you pretend to be something you’re not (i.e into BDSM when you’re vanilla), your fans will not respond well. I’ve seen too many authors fall off the face of the earth because they were busted in lying to their fans.
* Finally- Follow the counsel of those who’ve paved the way before you, and form a strong foundation to stand upon.

If you could be Chris Hemsworth’s wife for the day, what would you do?
Um, if I said I’d go sight-seeing, you KNOW I was lying! Assuming Chris would play along, I can think of numerous activities I’d jump on! Literally. But shh, don’t tell John! He already knows me too well- hell, I write MFM, and tons of poly! I asked him once who he thought I’d chose to have a night with out of all my male celebrity crushes and his response? Duh! ALL of them. Yeah... what can I say?

Do you read your book reviews? How do you deal with bad or good ones?
I used to, but not so much anymore. I have way too many books out there to keep track, to start. The good ones tell me if I’m going in the right direction and the negatives ones (outside of the trolls- who make me laugh) give me an idea where I might need to clarify/fix. You can’t make everybody happy and there are always going to be those who find fault. After all- it’s easier to criticize than to write a book yourself, so why not? Also, if it bothered them enough to get ugly- guess what? My story is permanently in your head!!! My disposition is- go ahead and hate it- you bought it anyway, so thank you for your support!

Emberlyn’s thighs gripped her sturdy mount as the black horse galloped through the forest. Her painfully tight plaited dark brown hair pinned in an intricate knot held back at the nape of her neck with a brass comb. She laughed as she and the large horse flew down the path, the wind hitting her in the face. It was the smell of freedom. Out here no one could tell her how a proper princess should act. There were no rules out here and she loved it.
“Faster Onyx,” she urged. Princess Emberlyn wore black leather pants much like the ones her mother wore. She also wore a black leather corset that was a twin to her mother’s and a bright, blood-red blouse. Her heavy black leather boots, adorned with buckles, gripped the sides of her horse as she urged him to a faster pace. She risked a quick glance behind her shoulder and saw the pale horse named Buttermint and the mare’s rider quickly gaining on them. Onyx tossed his black  mane and seemed to chuckle a horsey nicker as he continued racing down the forest path.
The mare Buttermint and her rider quickly overtook the racing Onyx and pulled abreast of Emberlyn. The princess squealed as the rider reached over with his long arm and pulled her out of her saddle with his left, while holding Buttermint’s reins tightly in his right hand. He plopped the princess in the saddle in front of him, pushing her firmly against the pommel. Emberlyn squirmed in Buttermint’s saddle and slid her bottom farther down and settled against the boy’s strong, broad chest. The youth reached over and grabbed Onyx’s reins. The black stallion shook his mane and whinnied his chuckle. Buttermint answered with a softer neigh.
“Whoa,” said Beau as he slowed down the two horses. Emberlyn was trapped in his muscled arms and his broad chest which was her favorite place to be. She felt safe and loved. She loved the feel of the vibrations of his deep voice rumbling against her back and her nipples hardened with her excitement. Emberlyn squirmed away from Beau’s right arm that trapped her against his body as he struggled with Onyx with his left. Emberlyn gripped the pommel of Buttermint’s saddle and lifted her body up, sliding her right leg underneath her bottom and then slid her right leg across the back of the horse until both of her legs were leaning against Buttermint’s left flank. Gripping the pommel tightly with her right hand, Emberlyn shouted “Watch out!” Beau dropped Onyx’s reins and leaned back into a laying position, his head resting on Buttermint’s rump. Emberlyn lifted her body up with her right hand, balancing on her tail bone and kicked her left leg up and over Beau’s reclining form, and then sat up in the saddle facing Beau. The boy with the dirty blond hair sat up and tightly grasped Emberlyn’s waist keeping his balance on the horse with his strong thighs.
“What are you doing?” he chuckled in his deep voice.
Emberlyn’s brown eyes gazed into the boy’s bright blue ones and she leaned into his strong torso, wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling herself closer against his chest, her warm lips meeting his in a deep passionate kiss as her breasts pushed up against her corset. She pulled back and smiled shyly as Beau smiled back at her.
“That was extremely dangerous,” Beau admonished. “What would I tell the queen if you fell?”
“You would never let me fall,” replied Emberlyn.
Beau shook his messy, long, loose dirty blond hair. “Of course, I wouldn’t, but what if…”
“I was taught that move by the best horse rider in all of Mirovia. Maybe the best rider in all the land,” interjected Princess Emberlyn. “Want to see what else I can do while on top of this horse?
“No. Enough of your trick riding,” scolded Beau. “How can you even do all that while wearing a corset?” he asked running his hands down the tight binding and boning of the princess’s garment.
“You would be amazed about the amount of things I can do while wearing a corset,” she replied with a grin.
“What can you do out of your corset?” purred Beau.
Em arched her brow and slapped Beau’s arm playfully.
