Born with the ability to see and speak to the dead, C.J. Dowling thought investigating a haunted house would be a job like many others. He’s prepared for anything—except smart and sexy Jessica.
Working together in close quarters, C.J. and Jessica discover it isn’t only negative tension between them but sexual as well. Giving in to their desires seems like a good idea until they wake and find the spirits thought otherwise.
They are trapped with the ghost of a child long forgotten, an amorous entity threatening Jessica, and a powder keg of a spine-tingling mystery that might just be better left buried.

GUEST POST
Can you, for those who don't know you already, tell something about yourself and how you became an author?
I’ve been married for 38 years to a wonderful supportive man. We have three children and four grandchildren. I love to crochet and have a container full of stuffed animals, blankets and winter gear. My recent project was to make Bluey and Bingo stuffed animals for 2 of my grandkids.
My first published book came out in 2007. I’m sure the neighbors down the block could hear me scream when I got my very first contract. I’ve been telling stories to anyone who would listen since I was five.
Tell us something really interesting that's happened to you!
I got to meet and have a picture taken with one of my favorite characters from a series I am addicted to called Supernatural. It was one of those typical awestruck can’t talk moments, but I got to hug her, and it was the greatest thing ever.
What are some of your pet peeves?
Oh lord, where to start. People who wear socks and sandals. People who eat with their mouth open.
Where were you born/grew up at?
I was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. For the first 8 years of my life I lived on a farm, until it burned to the ground. From there we moved to Saskatoon where I stayed and raised my family.
What do you do to unwind and relax?
As I said earlier, I love to crochet and while I do that, I love watching my favorite shows.
How to find time to write as a parent?
My kids are all grown up now, but when they were little, I would typically start writing after they were in bed. Once they were in school, I would write while they were out. I have the most amazing children who were always polite and played in their rooms on weekends while I got the writing bug.
Do you have a favorite movie?
I have several, but the one that I love the most is House on Haunted Hill the remake. If you haven’t seen it, look it up.
Which of your novels can you imagine made into a movie?
Though its no longer in publication, I always thought by book Kidnapped would make a great comedy romance. Its about a rich spoiled woman who is kidnapped by two men who practically do everything wrong and the female knows just how to push their buttons.
As a writer, what would you choose as your mascot/avatar/spirit animal?
A unicorn. I’ve always loved unicorns and have several ornaments to show it.
