How
Terras Five came to be.
I am seriously in love with my Terras Five Cyborg series, and hope my readers are too. I’ve always enoyed science fiction and wanted to pair that with romance. My original idea was to have a planet full of Alpha males who were used to submissive females. Then I’d pair them with human females who don’t always (or ever!) do what they are ordered. The results were even better than I anticipated.
Terras Five is a planet colonized by humans who chose to become Cyborg in order to survive the harsh environment they found themselves in. The children are born human, receiving cybernetic implants during their childhood. This means that humans and Cyborgs are genetically compatible, since they have a common ancestry. The planet now has a stable population, but the lifestyle they have developed is considered strange by the humans that occupy the other planets in that part of the galaxy. Terras Five males are Cyborg, but the females are fully human and live in pampered enclaves. The females’ sole purpose is to produce offspring for the colony. Inevitably, there are cultural clashes between the Cyborgs of Terras Five and the humans in the rest of the galaxy. These clashes are what make the stories so much fun to write. The romances are all about the interactions of human and Cyborg and how both cultures come to realize their differences are not as important as what they feel for each other. Of course, there’s lots of action along the way!
To date, there are seven books in the series with several more planned. Did I mention I love the Cyborgs of Terras Five?
