The Wulvers Series
Books 1-3
by Rebecca Anne Stewart
Genre: Paranormal Romance

Do you love shifter romances? Then get ready to binge-read the first 3 books in The Wulvers Series by Rebecca Anne Stewart today!

BOOK 1 - WAY OF THE WOLF: ASCENSION
My father is the alpha, a mantle my unborn brother will take one day. But as daughter of the alpha, my role isn’t yet certain.

My heart is set on becoming the beta, I want to show our kind that a female can be just as strong as any other wolf, without needing a mate to protect her.

But when my father is called to help a neighboring pack, suddenly everything changes. I’m thrown into a world of intrigue, deadly plots, and a fight for power.

As a female who never wanted or needed a mate, I now find myself torn between two males. One, the leader. The other, an untamed wolf.

Either way, taking a mate requires submission, and it’s not in my nature to submit. But no matter how hard I try to fight it, it seems my fate has already been decided.

BOOK 2: WAY OF THW WOLF: RETRIBUTION
My father is dead, and my need for vengeance fuels my every decision and every move. I may not have evidence to prove it, but I know who’s responsible and it’s only a matter of time before I bring them down.

Roarke is now more determined than ever to prove his worth—not only as the alpha of our pack, but also as my mate. He made it clear our bond will be sealed on the next full moon, and my growing feelings for him make me realize there’s no fighting fate.

But our pack is in danger, secrets start to surface, and loyalties are questioned. Nobody can be trusted, and it seems our enemies are closer than we thought.

Now that I know my place in this world, there’s nothing I won’t do to keep my position in the pack and protect those who are under my care. Roarke and I might have gotten off to a rocky start, but soon everyone will know that together the alpha and I...

We’re a force to be reckoned with.

BOOK 3 - WAY OF THE WOLF: ENDEAVOUR
With Cathwulf settled by Roarke's side as Alpha Female, once more, I’m left to uncover my own place within our pack.

Finding love in working beside the pack doctor, I’ve thrown myself into learning from the healers that came before me.

It’s kept me busy, but it’s hard to focus when my eyes are constantly drawn to the male who once fought to be Cathwulf's mate.

Quillan has an aura that sparks all of my defensive instincts and yet, I can’t seem to stop wanting him to notice me...and I know he’s been keeping close.

The truth behind the reason he follows my every step, however, is far more dangerous than I could ever imagine. A reason that could have all the progress I’ve made crumble, and me right along with it when my past returns to haunt me.

Recommendations and a note for aspiring authors!

As an author, obviously one thing I spend an awful lot of time doing is reading! So I can’t celebrate the release of my new boxset without talking about my favourites! I have an eclectic taste in books but my heart has a soft spot for anything paranormal or historical (a mix of the two even better). So I highly recommend Philippa Gregory, an amazing historical fiction author who wrote my favourite book, The Lady of the Rivers; with a of magic and mythology, and strong female characters in a time when women were meant to be seen and not heard. I also have to shout out the brilliant Angela Louise McGurk who manages to weave romance and tragedy into a vampire story where Odin and Fenrir make an appearance. Her stories have influenced my own in so many ways.

Now for all you aspiring authors out there, I have the only piece of advice that I remind myself of often: you need to write the story for YOU. While knowing what your readers want can be great, don’t lose yourself to trying to please others with your story. If you love it, it will be loved by others.

Mystery Solved: Why I Think Readers Love Mysteries

I read widely in an eclectic mix of genres—history, westerns, romance and mystery. But if you said to choose just one, I wouldn’t hesitate. I’d choose a good mystery novel every time.

Since the publication of Now I See You, I’ve been asked why I chose to write a mystery. The answer is simple. It’s what I most love to read.

Traditional detectives, amateur sleuths, hard-boiled cops, cozies—I like them all.

Some of my favorite mystery authors are no longer with us: Agatha Christie, PD James, and Mary Higgins Clark. A few favorite contemporaries are Ruth Ware, Ann Cleeves and Donna Leon.

When I pick up a mystery, I know what I’m going to get. There will be a crime (usually murder), there will be good guys and bad, clues and red herrings, an intriguing puzzle that will keep me turning the pages to find out ‘whodunit.’ And in the end, justice will prevail.

Predictable tropes? Maybe. But a good mystery promises the reader a story of action and adventure. We can step into exotic settings and dangerous situations, living vicariously through the story’s characters from the safety of our own homes.

Most of us are law-abiding citizens. We’re not crime-solvers or criminals. But reading a good mystery allows us to step out of our lives for a few hours and lose ourself in stories of danger and intrigue. We are offered a thrill without the threat. We’re given a courtside seat as the hero gathers and sifts through clues, and hunts down the bad guy.

Playwright Oscar Wilde once said: “The suspense is terrible. I hope it will last.”

We know the stories never last. There’s always the last chapter, the last page, the final sentence. But when the story is done, when good has prevailed and evil is punished, when all is right with the world again, that’s when it’s time to scan the bookshelf and grab the next.

Ava Rhys has always chafed at submitting to the authority of her pack's alpha, but when he tries to sell her body in return for money and influence, she decides she would be better off on her own. Ava's plans to live as a lone wolf in the backwoods of Maine are thrown into turmoil, however, when the local game warden makes it his business to take her in hand, and the battle-hardened former Army Ranger soon proves to be just as fiercely dominant as any alpha shifter.

Declan Collins knows a woman in need of a man's firm hand when he sees one, and it isn't long before Ava is kneeling naked at his feet with her well-spanked bare bottom on display. Once he has taught her a better use for her sassy mouth, she quickly finds herself screaming her helpless, shameful submission into the bedsheets as he claims her so roughly and so thoroughly that she is left in no doubt that she belongs to him and there is nothing whatsoever she can do about it.

With each passing day he masters her body ever more completely, never hesitating to punish any hint of defiance before using and enjoying her in ways more humiliating than she could have ever imagined. She thought she could run from her mate. Then he lassoed her.

Riley decided years ago that she would be better off on her own, but when the alpha of the local pack finds out there's a lone wolf causing trouble on his turf he takes matters into his own hands.

As far as Cameron Nichols is concerned, Riley will be joining his pack whether she likes it or not. Her only choice will be whether to submit to his authority with or without needing to be stripped bare and spanked over his knee until she is kicking and crying and promising obedience. When she chooses the latter, the Navy SEAL turned cowboy is more than happy to oblige.

But Cameron knows instantly that Riley isn't just a feisty female in need of an alpha's firm hand. She is his mate, and she knows it too, despite her best efforts to deny it. The moment James Norris sets eyes on Shannon, bare and on display yet still fierce and proud, the former special-ops agent knows the beautiful spitfire is his mate. GUEST POST

Do the characters all come to you at the same time or do some of them come to you as you write?

A little of both. I generally know the main characters, but not always the secondary ones. The most annoying part is when I’m more than half way through a book and one of them tells me, “Oh by the way”… and its something vital to the story that necessitates my going back through the story to re-vamp it and thread that information throughout.

What kind of research do you do before you begin writing a book?

I generally write from my own experiences, but if not, I find readers in my private Facebook grou, Delta’s Wayward Pack, and use them to funnel answers to questions and double check my facts.

Do you prefer to write in silence or with noise? Why?

Depends on the book, the scene and how I am feeling. I think I am at my most productive when I have Pandora playing.

Do you write one book at a time or do you have several going at a time?

Even though I am a “pantser” versus a “plotter,” I write one book at a time from beginning to end.

Pen or type writer or computer?

Computer. I can’t stand to write on anything else.

Advice they would give new authors?

Write! Every single day! Pick an amount of time that you will dedicate to writing – not being on social media, not emailing friends, not working on editing your book, but working on your next novel. If you want a career as an author, treat it like it’s a business! Plan to spend money honing your craft, marketing your book, getting a good editor and a good cover designer. If you hire someone to do your marketing, make sure they understand what it is you write and that they are good at their job—then get out of their way and let them do it!

What makes a good story?

Well-developed characters, a good story to tell and lots of steamy sex and discipline!

What is your writing Kryptonite?

A beautiful autumn day, a gorgeous horse and a trail that needs exploring… gets me every time!

Do you try more to be original or to deliver to readers what they want?

I try to put my own unique spin on what my readers want to read.

How long on average does it take you to write a book?

The first draft (which goes to my publisher) takes about two to three weeks.

Do you believe in writer’s block?

No. I believe it is a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you get stuck, pull up your big girl panties, take a break and then get back to it! Harsh I know, but it this is your career/job/business, you have to treat it as such and sometimes you have to push through even when it seems impossible!
