Can you, for those who don't know you already, tell something about yourself and how you became an author?
I had an English assignment I wrote in fourth grade (something about going to the doctor and getting a shot) that the teacher liked so much she made it into a play using classmates as characters and invited parents and other classes to watch the performance on a Friday afternoon.
What is something unique/quirky about you?
I’ve been married over 50 years to my high school sweetheart. I wrote newsy love letters to him while he was deployed for 2 tours in Vietnam.
Tell us something really interesting that's happened to you!
I wrecked my husband’s car on out first day when he allowed me to “practice” driving so I could take my driver’s test the next morning. I passed the driving test the next morning, and he ended up taking me to the doctor in the afternoon. We never could get his car’s front passenger door open. And obviously, he forgave me.
Where were you born/grew up at?
I was born and raised in rural central PA but moved to the west coast of Florida 40 years ago.
If you knew you'd die tomorrow, how would you spend your last day?
Spending time with my family and friends.
What are you passionate about these days?
Writing, finishing a book and spending time with my grandchildren.
What do you do to unwind and relax?
Play solitaire.
How to find time to write as a parent?
Retired empty nester
When did you first consider yourself a writer?
2006 when I woke from a dream and had to write it down before I forgot. After review, I researched, interviewed and embellished my dream into a book. My extensive research resulted in five additional books.
Do you have a favorite movie?
Gone with the Wind, first movie I ever saw and I’d read the book before seeing the movie.
Which of your novels can you imagine made into a movie?
Secrets and Deceptions-a military romance.
What literary pilgrimages have you gone on?
Many RWA conventions.
