Introvert. He was the hero they never knew they wanted.

he got was the mantle of a legendary hero, the heart of a girl who
had no idea who he really was...and a diamond bigger than his
fist.
What
could possibly go wrong?

of a Hero Book 2
Dream

Being
a hero comes with learning curves.
The
curve of a hip. The curve of a sword. The curve of a sucker punch as
it connects with your face.
It
wouldn’t be so bad if Wendell had professionals to help
him.
Instead,
he’s stuck with a feisty gnome, a senile old wizard and a green
skinned, cigar-smoking babysitter to guide him.
Is
it too late to quit?
Fans
of epic fantasy will cheer Wendell on as the Chronicles of a Hero
series continues in book two. Those who enjoy the world building
skills of J.R.R. Tolkien, J.K. Rowling and Brandon Sanderson will

Chronicles
of a Hero Book 6
Caught.
Tortured. Scheduled for execution. Any Questions?.
Wendell
and Dax are exposed and the gnomes of Clockwork City are freaking
out.
Are
they spies? Is this an invasion? Was this all just a terror tactic to
get gnomes to pay their taxes?
Now
with Wendell under arrest and Dax under armed guard, it’s going to
take a pardon from President Shrub to set them free.
Good
thing Chuck’s planning to kidnap his kids.

"I
loved this book because it takes a misfit who was never really liked
or appreciated and it shows the beginning of the process of him

The
Price of Fame
Chronicles
of a Hero Book 7
Honest
Politicians. Humane Terrorists. Religious Devils.
Then it gets
confusing...
Wendell’s
learned that gnomes are just as irritating and dangerous as
humans...they just come in smaller packaging.
Citizens
are rebelling, the government’s collapsing, the Church is selling
off the poor and Dax’s head on the chopping block.
All
Chuck needs to get everyone home is a city wide diversion, a flying
S.L.A.G., four lawyers, a hand grenade...and a tiny bit of
string.
It
feels good when a plan comes together!
The
Price of Fame is book seven in the Chronicles of a Hero series by
author Jaime Buckley. If you love a good laugh and incredible plot
twists to keep you guessing, this book will curl your toes and put a
smirk on your face!
"...packed
with wild imaginations and inspirations. It’s a rarity that a YA
book contains the combination of those three things but Wanted: Hero
has them. Seriously, you don’t want to miss reading this book in
your lifetime."

GUEST POST
When did you first
consider yourself a writer?
There’s one thing you should know
about Buckley’s in general: we’re story tellers.
Whether we’re writers or artists,
musicians, sculptors, teachers or even cabinet makers (because in my
personal family, we are all of these things and much, much more), we
are always telling a story to someone. It’s not only the way
we communicate, it’s the way we ‘gather’ people to our family.
So when you ask that question to me, all I can say is, “I’ve
always been a writer.”
Even when I was in High School, I was
crafting stories.
My history teacher noticed that I would
fail virtually any written test she gave us, yet if we were to have a
conversation, asking me the very same questions, I’d get an ‘A’.
She also noticed that though I paid attention to the conversation in
class, most of my time was spent with me transfixed by whatever I was
drawing at that moment.
So clever as my teacher was, she
combined the two. Unlike other classmates, I was asked to take all
the history lessons and create comic books to turn in and in turn,
she would give me all test orally. The result was a skyrocketing of
my grades and a growing love for history.
But maybe that question should be
clarified.
If you asked me when I felt like a
professional writer, it would have been much, much later in
life. It would be after I had grown up. After I had gotten married
and after I had even developed the main storyline for the Chronicles
of a Hero series.
My darling wife and children would
argue that point with me, and they actually have.
Back in 2009 we were homeless.
Yeah, I went from making six figures a
year to being unemployed, cast to the wind with ten children, a wife
and an aged father-in-law to care for. And let me tell you, I was
terrified. With a laptop and a local coffee shop and free wi-fi, I
was able to keep us indoors and some food on the table through the
winter as I desperately looked for work.
During this epic struggle, my daughter
asked me to read a set of books I’d never seen. The covers and box
the 5 books came in were some of the most beautifully designed I’d
ever seen. When I finished reading them that evening (each book was
roughly 75 pages each) my daughter asked me what I thought of the
books.
“I thought they were brilliant!” I
told her. “Even though they’re for younger readers, I was drawn
into the story and truly enjoyed the adventure.”
“That’s how you write, dad,” she
replied with a sly grin.
“Uh, no…I don’t,” I argued.
“Yes you do dad,” she insisted, to
which my wife nodded in agreement.
Those books I read where the Spiderwick
Chronicles.
You see, up to that point, all I’d
created were the Wanted Hero comic books. Yes, I’d written to
dialogue, but I never considered that ‘real’ writing. It was more
of a fake version, to be added to somewhat clever drawings, which
made the whole thing work. I wasn’t and ‘official’ writer in my
own mind.
So when I finally published Prelude
to a Hero, the first book in the Chronicles of a Hero
series, my mind transitioned from a cartoonist to a writer.
I think that’s the first time I
actually considered myself as a professional writer. When I saw that
people were willing to exchange money for my stories and I was
getting delightful feedback from readers.
That’s when I knew.
This was what I was meant to do.
