Who is your hero and why?
Elite bodyguard and Private
Investigator, Rick Bannerman is an ex-military sniper who takes his
job seriously, will go to any lengths to protect those in his care,
and do whatever needs to be done to ensure a client’s safety.
Focused, determined, and stealthy, Rick never lets emotion cloud his
mind or decisions. With a disciplined body sculpted for battle and a
quick, tactical mind, Rick wears the mantle of protector like full
body armor.
From a childhood forged in violence and
abuse, Rick grew into a man who vowed to never let himself lose
control. He watched his father beat his mother daily until a dreadful

To hear him describe it, it was lust at first sight and his mind
starting running scenarios where he could talk her into bed. But too
soon he realized Abby was not the kind of woman any man could simply
bed and then let go of. Because he respected what she was doing with
her life and the dedicated person she was, he never pursued the
attraction they both shared. When she took the initiative and kissed
him, it took every ounce of will he could muster to walk way and deny
the desire swirling through him. He’s kept her at a decided
distance since that time.
But now Abby needs his professional
help. She’s been targeted by the husband of an angry client who’s
already attacked his wife. Rick thinks Abby is next and he’ll do
anything to protect her. It’s if he can protect his heart from
falling in love with her that’s in question.
