~ The inspiration for the Gateway Ranch series stemmed from a trip Jo & I went on where we stayed on a working ranch. There were ranchers/cowboys, horses, trail rides, campfires, cattle and food cooked outside. Our muses started asking, "What if?" When we returned home with a handful of ideas, we went to Austyn and said, "Guess what we're going to write about." From there we started brainstorming and writing stories. Granted, that took place almost a decade ago and the stories and series has morphed since then. To Be Yours has been previously published under the title Wild West Weekend, but I explain the changes in a letter in the book and why it’s more like new than old. Austyn Sherrie, Johanna Riley, and I also made the ranch have a supernatural aspect to it so we could add our own spins to our own stories that take place at the GR. What
was your favorite scene to write? Why?
~ I have to say I like the graveyard scenes where the paranormal/supernatural bits come into place. They’re gritty and play on my love of horror.

There’s a section in To
Be Yours
that does take place in my hometown. I envision Nero’s house being
out close to Red Rock and being able to see the interesting colors
and geological aspects of the area out the back windows.

you have more books planned for this series? What about the other
authors?
~ My next book, To Be His, will have some references to what happens in To Be Yours and vice versa. I don’t want to give anything away and spoil the surprises though. Though since it’s a republish of my story Keep You Safe, those who read that anthology piece might know what the tie in is. As for the repub aspect, I’ve reedited the story and added to it. The third book is another republish of a story I’d written ages ago. I’m taking out the northeast references and setting it in the Gateway world. After that, there’ll be two time travels of mine and maybe another romantic suspense. One of the time travels will be a revamp of a previously published story called Wild West Hauntings and be like new. As for Austyn and Jo—Austyn is working on a revamp of Wild West Promise making that one shiny new, and Jo has two more books in the works as well. Lots to look forward to in this series!
