Casey Peeler grew up in North Carolina and still lives there with her husband and daughter.
Growing up Casey wasn't an avid reader or writer, but after reading Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neal Hurston during her senior year of high school, and multiple Nicholas Sparks' novels, she found a hidden love and appreciation for reading.  That love ignited the passion for writing several years later, and her writing style combines real life scenarios with morals and values teenagers need in their daily lives.
When Casey isn't writing, you can find her near a body of water listening to country music with a cold beverage and a great book.

GUEST POST
What inspired you to write this book?
This book actually was written when I would spend hours at my daughter’s dance studio. However, the storyline was inspired by watching the hallways of the high school I taught.

What can we expect from you in the future?
Currently, I have two full length novels that my agent is shopping to be published traditionally.

Can you tell us a little bit about the characters in Tutus & Cowboy Boots?
Cadence- 17 year old NY trendy female, ballet dancer. Bitter over her parents’ divorce. She’s attempting to navigate her new world outside NYC. Confident and stubborn. She is very annoyed by Barrick and her opposing force due to their strong personalities in different ways, tons of chemistry and lots of romantic tension between them
Barrick- 19 year old male, farmhand to Ms Mae, fit and attractive. Kind hearted and genuine. He is hometown but wise above his years. He is a true southern gentleman but not willing to put up with Cadence’s crap. He is clearly attracted to her physically but patiently waiting for her to attitude to transform and change.

Who designed your book covers?
Most of my covers have been designed by my sister, Pamela Baldwin at Paperclutch. Over time I have used other designers like Lori Jackson.
If you could spend time with a character from your book whom would it be? And what would you do during that day?
Gran 100% She’s not a main character but is extremely important in the story. She’s based between a combination of both of my grandmothers. We’d spend it just like Cadence does on the farm shucking corn. That is one of my fondest memories of my Mawmaw Ocia. I added it into the storyline with a current twist.

Are your characters based off real people or did they all come entirely from your imagination?
Usually it’s a combination of both.
