An unlikely romance…
Robin and Joey have a unique relationship. Book one is barely even a romance and the “action” is all of the pg-13 variety. There’s attraction, sure—he is freakin’ hot—but one of the best parts about a 40+ heroine is that she’s got some life experience under her belt. She knows that, even though fae can’t lie, she would, in her words, be an idiot to trust him. He’s the piece of cheesecake she’s going to regret indulging in come morning.
The thing about cheesecake though, it’s always there, tempting us to indulge. Rubbing at our willpower, making us crave it. Mmmm…cheesecake. So after all that constant temptation, book two tests Joey’s willpower. Because even if she is old enough to know better, she’s still human enough to do it anyway. And to tell with the consequences.
